The fine print, in plain language

Terms of Service.

These are the terms you agree to when you book and use Mobile Car Care. We have written them the way we run the business: clear, fair, and free of surprises. If anything here is unclear, just ask.

1. Acceptance of these terms

Mobile Car Care is a family-owned mobile tire and car-care business based in Brantford, Ontario, serving drivers since 2016. When you book a service, ask for a quote, sign up for a membership, or otherwise use our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are booking on behalf of someone else, a household, or a company, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms for them. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not book with us.

2. The services we provide

We are a mobile service. We do not have a storefront or a waiting room. We come to your home or workplace and do the work in your driveway, parking spot, or another safe location you arrange. Our services include:

  • Mobile tire service: seasonal changeovers, new tire sales and installation, flat repairs, and rebalancing
  • Seasonal tire storage, including pickup, off-season storage, and return
  • Fleet and commercial service for businesses and properties

We will always do our best to complete the work we have agreed to. Some jobs may reveal a problem we cannot safely fix on site, or a part we do not carry that day. If that happens, we will tell you, explain your options, and only do work you approve.

3. Booking and deposits

You can book online through our website, which is handled through our booking system, or by calling or texting us. When you book, we collect your name, email, phone number, postal code, and your vehicle and service details so we can plan the visit and give you an accurate quote. Email reminders are sent through our reminder service.

Most standard visits do not require a deposit. For larger jobs, special-order parts, or tires we order in for you, we may ask for a deposit or prepayment before we schedule the work. If a deposit applies, we will tell you the amount up front before you commit. A deposit holds your spot and covers parts we order specifically for you.

4. Cancellation and rescheduling

Plans change, and we get that. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as early as you can so we can offer the time to another customer. We ask for at least 24 hours of notice for standard appointments.

If you cancel a job that involved a deposit for special-order parts or tires, the cost of those parts may not be refundable if we have already ordered them on your behalf. If we have to cancel or reschedule your visit, for example due to weather, a vehicle issue on our end, or a scheduling conflict, we will contact you to find a new time at no extra cost to you.

5. Pricing and quotes

We give you a quote up front before we start the work. We do not believe in surprise charges. Please keep the following in mind:

  • Quotes are based on the vehicle and service details you give us. If the actual job is different, for example a seized bolt, a different tire size, or extra damage we find once we start, we will stop, explain it, and give you an updated price before we continue.
  • Prices are subject to change over time. Tire, part, and material costs can move with the market. The price we quote you for a specific booking is the price we honour for that booking.
  • For homes or workplaces that are outside our usual route for a given day, we may add a small special-trip fee to cover the extra travel. We will always tell you about any special-trip fee before you confirm.
  • All prices are before tax. HST is added on top of the quoted amount.

6. Payment

You can pay on site at the time of service or online ahead of your visit, whichever you prefer. Online and card payments are handled through a third-party payment processor, and your card details are handled by that processor, not stored by us. Payment is due when the work is complete unless we have agreed to other terms in writing, such as invoiced billing for fleet and commercial accounts. Returned or failed payments may be subject to a reasonable fee.

7. Our guarantees, as terms

We stand behind two promises, and here is exactly what they mean.

A two-hour arrival window, or it is free

When we book you, we give you a two-hour arrival window. If we miss that window because of us, that visit's service labour is free. To be fair to everyone, this does not apply to delays outside our control, such as severe weather, road closures, accidents, or when we cannot reach the vehicle because of access problems on your end. If we are running behind, we will text you as soon as we know.

Done right, or we fix it

If our workmanship is not right, we come back and make it right at no charge for the labour involved. Just contact us within a reasonable time after the visit and let us inspect the work. This covers our workmanship. It does not cover normal wear, problems caused by other parties, or issues unrelated to the work we performed.

8. Membership terms

If you join a membership plan, the following terms apply:

  • Memberships run on an annual term and renew automatically each year so your service keeps going without a gap.
  • You can cancel any time before your renewal date with no cancellation fee. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current term.
  • Included benefits and credits are provided per membership year. Any unused per-year credits or included visits do not roll over into the next year.
  • We may adjust membership tiers, benefits, and pricing. Any change takes effect at your next renewal, and we will give you notice before it does so you can decide whether to continue.

9. Warranties and what is not covered

Tires and other products we sell and install carry the warranty offered by their manufacturer. We will help you understand and use that coverage, but the manufacturer sets its terms, not us. Our own workmanship is covered by the "done right, or we fix it" promise above.

The following are examples of what our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including tread wear, road hazards, punctures, curb damage, and corrosion
  • Damage caused by an accident, misuse, neglect, or work done by someone else after our visit
  • Pre-existing conditions or unrelated mechanical issues with the vehicle
  • Results that depend on parts or tires you supplied yourself rather than ones we provided

10. Property access and your responsibilities

Because we work on your property, we need a few things from you so the job is safe and goes smoothly:

  • A safe, flat, firm, and accessible spot for us to work on the vehicle, with enough room around it for our equipment
  • Permission to be on the property. If it is not your property, please make sure access is arranged in advance.
  • Accurate vehicle information, including make, model, year, tire size, and any known issues, so we bring the right parts and time
  • The vehicle available and accessible at the agreed time, with keys provided if needed
  • A clear path that is reasonably free of hazards, ice, and obstructions

If the location is not safe to work in, or the vehicle or access is not as described, we may need to reschedule, adjust the price, or decline the job for safety reasons. A special-trip or rebooking fee may apply if we travel to a visit that cannot go ahead for reasons on your end.

11. Limitation of liability

We are fully insured and WSIB-covered, and we take real care with your vehicle and your property. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim connected to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, such as lost time, lost income, or rental costs. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for issues caused by other parties, or for problems that arise from inaccurate information provided to us. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute connected to these terms or our services will be handled in the courts of Ontario.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as our business and services change. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the "last updated" date at the top. The terms in effect at the time you book a service are the ones that apply to that booking. If you keep using our services after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
