Accessibility

Accessible service, for everyone.

We are committed to serving people of all abilities with dignity and independence. This page explains the steps we take to keep our service and this website accessible, and how to tell us when something falls short.

Our commitment

Mobile Car Care is a family-owned business that has served Brantford, Ontario since 2016. We believe everyone deserves to keep their vehicle safe and road-ready, no matter their ability. We are committed to providing our goods, services, and information in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities.

This commitment is in keeping with the spirit of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code. We work to identify and remove barriers, and we treat accessibility as something we keep improving rather than a box we check once.

Coming to you removes barriers

We are a mobile service. We do not have a storefront or a waiting room, so there is nothing for you to drive to, walk into, or wait inside of. Instead, we bring the work to your home or workplace. For many people, this removes some of the most common barriers in a traditional auto shop:

  • No need to travel to a garage, sit in a public lobby, or arrange a ride home.
  • No stairs, tight service counters, or noisy shop floors to navigate.
  • You stay in a space you know and control while we work in your driveway or parking area.

If you have specific needs at your appointment, such as where we park, how we approach the vehicle, or how we communicate while on site, please tell us when you book. We are happy to make reasonable adjustments so the visit works for you.

Accessibility of this website

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA on this website. Meeting these guidelines helps make our site easier to use for people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers, or voice control.

Accessibility is ongoing work. As we add pages and features, we test and refine them, and we continue to improve areas that do not yet fully meet our goal.

Features already in place

Some of the steps we have taken on this site include:

  • Clear, semantic structure. Pages use proper headings, lists, and landmarks so the content reads in a logical order and assistive technology can navigate it.
  • Keyboard support and visible focus. You can move through links, buttons, and the booking form using a keyboard, and the item you are on is clearly highlighted.
  • Care with colour and contrast. We choose text and background colours with readability in mind, and we do not rely on colour alone to carry meaning.
  • Descriptive links. Links and buttons are written to make sense on their own, so it is clear where each one goes.
  • Reduced-motion support. If your device is set to reduce motion, we respect that setting and minimize animation.
  • Decorative images hidden from screen readers. Purely decorative graphics are marked so they do not clutter the experience for screen reader users.

Third-party tools

A few parts of our site rely on outside services, including a booking system provided by Jobber, email reminders sent through Kit, an embedded Google Maps view of our service area, and an online payment processor. We chose reputable providers, but we do not fully control how these tools are built. If you run into a barrier with any of them, please let us know and we will help you complete the task another way, such as booking by phone or text.

Requesting information in an alternative format

If you need anything we provide in a format that works better for you, we will do our best to supply it. This can include reading information aloud over the phone, sending details in a larger print size or plain text, or walking you through a booking step by step.

To request an alternative format, contact us using any of the options below. We will work with you to understand what you need and provide it in a timely way, at no extra cost.

Tell us about a barrier

We want to hear from you. If you have trouble using this website, booking a service, or working with us in any way because of an accessibility barrier, please get in touch. Your feedback helps us find and fix problems we may not have noticed.

When you contact us, it helps to know what you were trying to do, what got in the way, and the best way to reach you back. You are welcome to share as much or as little detail as you like. We respond to accessibility feedback promptly, and we will let you know how we plan to address what you have raised.

Keeping this up to date

We review this statement regularly and update it as our website and service change. If our goals or features shift, you will see it reflected in the date at the top of this page.
