We are a family business, and we treat your information the way we would want ours treated. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we work with, and the control you have over it.

Mobile Car Care ("we," "us," or "our") is a family-owned mobile tire and car-care business based in Brantford, Ontario, serving drivers since 2016. We come to your home or workplace, so we do not run a storefront. This policy describes how we handle the personal information you give us, in keeping with Canada's federal privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
We try to collect only what we need to book your appointment and do the work properly. That usually means:
When you pay, your payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not see or store your full credit card number. We may keep a basic record that a payment was made, such as the amount and date, for our own bookkeeping.
We collect information directly from you when you:
In most cases the information comes straight from you. If a member of your household or your workplace books on your behalf, we assume they have your permission to share your details with us.
We use your personal information to:
We will not use your information for a new purpose that is unrelated to the reason you gave it to us without first asking for your consent.
We will only add you to our seasonal reminder emails if you choose to opt in. Every reminder email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it, replying to ask us to stop, or calling or texting us. Opting out of reminders does not affect the messages we need to send to manage a booking you have made, such as a confirmation or a heads-up that we are on the way.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never will. We do share it with a small number of trusted service providers who help us run the business. They are only allowed to use your information to provide their service to us:
Some of these providers may store or process data on servers outside of Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of the country where it is stored. We choose established providers and rely on them to protect your information.
We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, for example in response to a valid legal request, or where needed to protect our rights or safety.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, so we can improve it. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location (city level, from your IP address), and how you found us. We also record a few actions on the site, like tapping our phone number or starting and finishing a booking, so we know which pages help people book. Google Analytics does not give us your name, email, or phone number, and we do not send it any of the details you type into our forms. Google processes this information on its servers, which may be outside Canada.
Our site also remembers how you first found us (for example, a Google search or a flyer) for up to a year, stored in your own browser, and adds it to any booking you send so we know which of our efforts are working.
The map on our service-area page is a Google Maps embed, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do. You can also opt out of Google Analytics on every website with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or for as long as the law requires us to keep it (for example, basic financial records for tax purposes). When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to securely delete it or remove the details that identify you.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. The booking, email, and payment systems we rely on use their own security measures, and we limit access to your information to the family members and helpers who need it to do their job. No method of storing or sending information is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Canada's privacy law gives you rights over your personal information. You can:
We will respond to your request within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm your identity first so that we only share your information with you.
We may update this policy from time to time as our business or the law changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back now and then.
